Are you looking for a challenge to make 2015 a year you'll never forget? Then why not make that challenge cycling from London to Paris, in just 24 hours.
This iconic and truly epic cycling challenge will stretch you, yet it is totally achievable and a great challenge to take on. Whilst there are several other London to Paris rides there are none quite like this. The brainchild of Sophie Radcliffe, of Challenge Sophie fame, the aim of the ride is to help people see that they can achieve the seemingly unachievable.
Having done the ride six times herself Sophie, renowned for inspiring others to dream big, believe in themselves and take on audacious challenges, is now looking to share the experience with others keen to challenge themselves and step out of their comfort zones.
"London to Paris is very special to me because it was one of my first big cycling adventures," she explained. "It’s one of those breakthrough challenges that really opens your mind as to what you can do. The feeling of achievement when you arrive at the Eiffel Tower; after cycling from London through the night and the following day, it’s incredible.
"When I look back on the year it’s the times when I had adventures and competed in triathlons and cycling events that stand out most in my memory. London to Paris is an epic challenge that fits perfectly into a weekend with time to spare enjoying Paris or with your family once back home. The next day you head into work with the biggest smile on your face; nothing can take away the fact that you just cycled to Paris.
"My vision is to create an experience where likeminded cyclists can make friends and achieve something outstanding together. I can’t tell you how excited I am about sharing this adventure with everyone!"
Sophie has teamed up with Cycle Friendly, who have years of experience organising mass participation cycling events all over the world. Their crew, run by Head Honcho Jonathan Friend, will include mechanics, support cyclists, first aid support, drivers and caterers, all of whom will be on hand to tend to your needs and support you in completing this challenge.
