This week's Emerging Talent comes in the form of The Black Tambourines, a group that were unlucky not to win this year's Glastonbury Emerging Talent competition, instead having to settle for a runner's up spot.
Who Are They: The Black Tambourines
Where Are They From: Falmouth, Cornwall
In A Nutshell: The band themselves class their style of music as 'ocean rock', which is no doubt a tip of the hat to their coastal origins, yet it in reality it is more grunge-rock played at a serious tempo. Full of energy and youthful eagerness they are not the finished article yet, but with plenty of upbeat tracks on their first album there is hope they can become a more polished group given time.
What The Critics Think: "Each track burns with the visceral energy and aggression of disgruntled youth," writes Will Moss of Artrocker.tv. "With a sound that’s so all-encompassing and heart-rate raising, The Black Tambourines are an act to experience live and immerse yourself in the sheer energy they clearly possess."
Where You Can Hear Them: The boys don't have any live dates announced at present, but follow them on Facebook and you will be first to know when they are going to be on the road.
